Colosseum Shooter Devlog #11

Hey everyone, I am here to keep you up to date with upcoming changes and features coming to the game in the future.

Update to colosseum stage

The colosseum stage changes are still in development. I'm trying to get the cel shading right on it on the texturing. I might add the current version of the stage in the next update and get the texturing added at a later date, just to get the new play field in.

Results screen changes

I plan on adding a section to the result screen that shows the rate at which the player has killed the enemies in the level. There are still some issues with it the moment, but as soon as it working correctly it will be added to the game.

Changes to the score system

Right now the combo score doesn't do anything but increase when you kill an enemy and when the timer on it runs out it resets. I want this, in the future, to change so when the player gets a higher combo score the points, when defeating an enemy, will also increase as well. For example if the player gets a combo score of 10 then point gain would go up by x1.5. That way it gives a variation for each player's score and makes people keep that combo metre up for a better score.

New gauntlet stage

As this may be another small update, I might add the new 4 gauntlet stages to the game just for people to test out. They are unfinished but it will give me an insight on how to fix them and how I should tackle the next set of levels.

So a quick summary of everything in this Devlog. Update to colosseum stage, enemy kill rate on the results screen, score system change and new gauntlet stages to be added.

Any other change will be added to the patch notes when the next update is released.
