Colosseum Shooter Devlog #4
Hey everyone, I am here to keep you up to date with upcoming changes and features coming to the game in the future.
Right now I have been progressing on stage bosses so that all three stages have them, so that all the stages play the way they are intended to be played.
Snow chasm boss
The boss on the snow chasm stage is a large mech. How this boss will work is that when the player is far from them, then it will have a shield blocking any bullets that hit it from the front, but its back will be completely exposed.
As for its methods of attacking the player, on its back is a projectile launcher that will explode when it hits the ground. That not going to be its only form of attack, it will also have a fast paced arm turret that will continuously attack the player when in its line of sight.

New enemy Type
I plan to add an enemy that will explode when it gets near the player. If you are able to shoot a certain part of it then it explodes. I haven't decided if I want the exposition to also hurt other enemies when it goes off due to the player destroying or doing it itself. But I hope that it stops players from staying in one space and makes them keep moving around.
Enemy changes
The issue with the enemies “not spawning” has been fixed, the issue was more noticeable in the larger levels than the small ones. How it worked originally was the player had to be in range of them instead of them just going straight for the player, making it seem like nothing was spawning in the level, even though they were already in the level itself.
The next patch will be small bug fixes, as making the two bosses is taking some time, but I hope to get them out by the following update.
So a quick summary of everything in this Devlog.
Any other change will be added to the patch notes when the next update is released. Stage bosses, new regular enemies and small gameplay changes.
