Hey everyone, I am here to keep you up to date with upcoming changes and features coming to the game in the future.
This is the second year since the game was launched. I plan to make it so you can play the game in your browser, instead of having to download each time a new update is available. But if you still want to download it, then a downloadable version will still be available, to play on your PC.
More Gauntlet Redesign
In the last update, the first 4 gauntlet stages were changed. They are still missing some key components, like the basic tutorial information that was in the original version, but overall I think the player has a lot more control over their movement when progressing through these levels.
As for what's getting updated next, it will be stage 1-5. In this version of the stage, the floor has been made wider, and the goal point will be blocked off by an enemy barrier. Also the third platform has a safety net in case you don’t make the jump over to it, you can use the stair next to it to climb up.
Here a look at the Redesign.
I have plans to change stage 1-7 so that it uses the new machine that I've been working on, and hopefully that will make it more interesting that what it currently is.
New Mechanic & Enemy Type
So as I just mentioned, I have made a new mechanic where if you jump on a certain object or enemy, then you will bounce on them. This will be added as an obstacle to the gauntlet stages.
I did plan it so that if the player walked inside the trigger then the player would automatically jump. But for whatever reason this didn't work as intended, so whenever the player is airborne, then they will get some extra height from them.
If you have already used your double jump then this will be reset each time, whenever you jump in a jump pads.
As for the enemy variant of this, these will be a one time use. So if you jump into one then you will get effects as normal but it will also destroy it. Though these can be taken out the same way as standard enemies if you inflict damage on them, by shooting or attacking with your melee weapon.
