Colosseum Shooter Devlog #8

Hey everyone, I am here to keep you up to date with upcoming changes and features coming to the game in the future.

Menu changes

The layout of the menus UI has been changed to match each one of the menus pages. All of the interactable parts, e.g Button, have been moved around to fit in the same area on the page.

The button that returns the player to the main menu has now been replaced with a button prompted on the player keyboard, what button you need to press is in the bottom left of the page. Each page, at the top, says what menu you are currently on.

Gauntlet 

I plan to add a new enemy type that will only appear in gauntlet stages. These are enemies that you will need to defeat in order to open gauntlet gates. Similar to ammo drones, these are not hostile to the player.

Here is how each one will function:

Gauntlet Enmey HG

Standard version will take one shot to take it out.

Gauntlet Enmey MG

This version will have a shield that only covers up half its body, so the only way it can be taken out is to shoot it from behind.

Gauntlet Enmey PG

This version will have a shield that cover all of its body, you will have to take out the shield generator floating above the enemy in order to make it vulnerable to your attacks

When these are ready to be put into the game, they will replace any place holder enemies that are in each level.

Player changes

When the player dies in one of the arena levels or completes a gauntlet stage, the name of the stage that you are currently on will show at the top of the results screen.

So a quick summary of everything in this Devlog. Main menu changes, new enemy in the gauntlet stages and small changes to results screen.

Any other change will be added to the patch notes when the next update is released.
